Olli Vainio Geschrieben 18. Februar 2012 Teilen Geschrieben 18. Februar 2012 I recently spent a week in Tenerife mostly doing photography. I shot almost 4000 photos and kept 1400 of them. Maybe few dozen will be edited and some of them are here. Some more are on my website. You can also follow my photography updates at my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ovp.fi 30.1. Monday: Journey began from Oulu Airport, gate 16 with Finnair's B757 - OH-LBT. Temperature below -20C, QNH 1056 and de-icing looking spectacular as a result. Once airborne, there was a very beautiful winter sunrise. On approach to Tenerife South, we were treated with nice views of Teide on approach. Walking outside of aircraft to +23C feels nice after -20C or below at Oulu... 31.1. Tuesday: First spotting day was a visit to Tenerife South. Thomas Cook Scandinavian A330 looking not-so-nice. Their British counterpart with special Egypt livery looking a lot nicer. Mint Airways B757, new airline for me. Never heard of them until I took this photo. Flying for TuiFly Nordic. 1.2. Wednesday: Tenerife North. Islas Airways ATR on a crosswind landing. Buring rubber. Also by Iberia... ...and Air Europe. I saw more bouncy, smoky, hard landings on Tenerife North in one day than for long time. 2.2. Thursday: This was somewhat quieter day, only a short visit to Tenerife South. Mandatory Finnair shot. ;D These B737's used quite a bit more runway for takeoff than anyone else. This day was only one with more clouds in south of the island also. 3.2. Friday: Long day. One visit to Tenerife North and two to South. First aircraft of the morning after arriving to North. The usual stuff at Tenerife North. This one in the older livery. Usual stuff at new livery also. This was the main reason for the visit to the north. Here after burning rubber during first of many bounces.. For the afternoon I wen to the Tenerife South. Speciality for locals, more usual for me. :) A bit special for everyone shooting that day. I really like this special livery. During my afternoon photography, I got a tip from German fellow spotter that there would be Transaero B777 in the evening(a fact I'd had missed in the morning while checking Aena's website for flights) so I decided to go back to the hotel for some rest be back in the evening. There were also other traffic during the evening. Here is a Monarch A321. http://ovp.fi/random/foorumikuvat/03.2.2012_GCTS_G-OJEG13.jpg[/img] Thomson B737 from the same spot. Very common aircraft at TFS. As is this Ryanair B737. Tenerife South at evening. Then the aircraft I'd been wating for. Not an easy shot when shutter times are around 1/15s and there is gusting 40 to 50 knot wind. 4.2. Saturday: Idea was to shoot at Tenerife South but winds were too high with constant dust storms that I decided to divert to North. One shot from South before I decided to leave. At North there was an Air Europe A332 with SkyTeam special livery. 5.2. Sunday: Only day with no photography at the airports, but I decided to visit Teide. Here's one shot from that visit with fog rolling in to road and nice scattering light. It was awesome. 6.2. Monday: The return. Soon after takeoff there was good views of Tenerife North. We used very westerly routing. After this it got so dark that I didn't bother taking any photos anymore. Danke schön for reading this far! :008: Until next time...
