Thanks to Manfred Moldenhauer. Without his SCASM "assembler" this project

would be impossible.

 

Fornebu airport is made by Charlotte Korsnes,

and the ground texture is provided by Bravida Geomatikk.

 

Asker NDB, OA, is set to 352.5 kHz to avoid interference from another NDB station.

 

You will find the airports Bjorli, Dokka, Eggemoen, Elvenes, Frya, Gossen, Hokksund, Jan Mayen,

Jarlsberg, Meraaker-Oyan, Oppdal, Rakkestad, Reinsvoll, Setermoen, Ski, and Sunndal-Vinnu under

"Search Add-on scenery" in the GOTO AIRPORT menu.

 

 

Airports with pilot controlled approachlights:

------------------------------------------------

 

Bardufoss (ENDU)

Custom approach and runway lights for both directions.

Set NAV1 to a frequency between 108.70 and 114.20. This will turn on the approach lights.

When doing an ILS or VOR approach the lights will be turned on when you have tuned to

the frequencies necessary for these approaches.

 

Jan Mayensfield (ENJA)

Tune COM1 to 118.10 to activate the runway and approach lights.

 

Vadso (ENVD)

Custom approach lights for both directions (runway lights are standard FS2004).

Activate by tuning Nav1 to LLZ frequency 108.70

 

Orland (ENOL)

Custom approach lights to both runways. (runway lights are standard FS2004)

Activate by tuning NAV1 to 108.3 for runway 33 or 109.30 for runway 15.

 

 

The pilot controlled lights have shorter visibility range than in FS2002. We are working on other methods which might work better in FS2004.

 

 

Snowpiles at Bardufoss (ENDU), Stokmarknes/Skagen (ENSK) and Artillerisletta/Setermoen

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

We have modelled snow at these 3 airports in this package. The snow will only be visible during the winter season in FS2004. You may remove the snow for performance reasons by deleting the following files from the norway_airports/scenery folder:

- endusne.bgl og endusnw.bgl for Bardufoss.

- ensksn.bgl for Skagen.

- setermsn.bgl for Setermoen.

 

 

Terrain error at Jan Mayen:

---------------------------

 

FS2002 comes with an error at Jan Mayen. This error is made by Microsoft. You can

fix this error by using a fix made by Richard Ludowise. You will find the fix in

the AVSIM filelibrary: http://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?SearchTerm=n70fix.zip&CatID=Root.

Please read the instructions in this file to fix this terrain error at Jan Mayen.

This fix is recommended to be able to use our Jan Mayen scenery included in Norway airports.

I N S T A L L A T I O N

-----------------------

 

IMPORTANT: Please do remove the OLDER version BEFORE you install this

version of Norway airports. Please remove all previous norway airports

area's from the scenery.cfg before installing this scenery. Do NOT mix

this version with previous versions of Norway Airports.

 

 

1. Make the following folder structure:

 

C:\flightsim\Norway_airports

 

with subfolders:

 

C:\flightsim\Norway_airports\scenery

C:\flightsim\Norway_airports\texture

 

2. Unzip the file: scenery.zip into the "..\Norway_airports\scenery" folder

 

3. Unzip the file: texture.zip into the "..\Norway_airports\texture" folder.

 

4. Unzip the file: effects.zip into the "FS2004\Effects" folder. NOTE: For FS2004 users ONLY!

 

5. Start FS2004 and select WORLD and SCENERY LIBRARY.

 

6. Select ADD AREA and SELECT SCENERY DIRECTORY.

 

7. Find NORWAY_AIRPORTS and make sure that you finally will read

C:\flightsim\Norway_airports\

under DIRECTORY ( depending on where yor files are located ).

Under SCENERY AREA TITLE you may now type NORWAY, for instance.

Click OK.

 

IMPORTANT: FS2002 users must use the path: flightsim\norway_airports\scenery in scenery library.

 

 

UNINSTALL: Delete the Norway_airport section in the file Scenery.cfg and

delete the folders containing the files.

 

 

When you are done, start FS2004 or FS2002 and enjoy.

Oh jeh...! Das wird nicht leicht gewesen sein, dieses wunderbare Paket noch besser zu machen! Danke für die Info übrigens, Tobi...!

 

Wo fliege ich denn nun hin? Wollte eigentlich erst D-dorf-Malle, Malle-Hamburg, Hamburg-Gran Canaria und dann via KJFK nach Alaska! Und jetzt kommen die Norweger mit ´nem schönen Airport Paket? Herrjeh... - schwere Entscheidungen!

...dem der Gedanke einer Weltumrundung mit der PC-12 heute schon mehrere Male durch den Kopf gegangen ist ;)

Unabhängig von den Norway Airports - eine Weltumrundung ist eine feine Sache, wenn man nicht zum zig-tausendsten Mal LSZH anfliegen möchte! Das kann ich nur empfehlen.

Hallo zusammen

 

Das neue Norwegenpaket ist einfach schlicht genial! Hätte auch nicht geglaubt, dass man ein Freewareprodukt wie die erste Version noch besser machen kann/will/möchte...was immer.

Die Flughäfen sind Sahne. Die wichtigeren Flughäfen sind um den Airport wunderbar in fototexturierte Landschaft eingebettet, die sich wiederum hervorragend in die FS-Landschaft einfügt. Vorallem mit MyWorld sieht das ganze auch gesamthaft gesehen stimmig aus.

Die Airports selbst sind nun noch viel detailierter und die Frames ein Traum.

Die Anflüge atemberaubend!

 

Ich werde mich in nächster Zeit wohl vorallem im hohen Norden aufhalten....:D

wie sieht es eigentlich mit der Kmpatibilität mit den Scandinavian Airports 1 und 2 aus wenn man die Norwegen-Airport-Scenery installiert hat ? Sollte es Überschneidungen geben was kann man tun ?
