Hi all, there's an update to swift pilot client! Please see the text below: On January 1st, VATSIM will retire their online text-based data-file which swift uses to gather certain information about the network. So some swift features might be degraded. There are new versions of swift available today to overcome this issue, as they use VATSIM's new json-based data-file replacement which provides the same network information in a more maintainable format. New BETA 0.9.5.141: Uses new json-based Vatsim data file New ALPHA 0.9.6.75: Uses new json-based Vatsim data file Fixed bug that was introduced in the previous alpha, that could cause X-Plane to CTD when receiving a text message. Hallo zusammen, soeben ist die neueste Version von swift erschienen, welche endlich die lang ersehnte Kompatibilität mit X-Plane 11.50 VULKAN bringt! Ist eine ganz tolle Sache, nie mehr schlechte Framerates. A new swift alpha version is available, 0.9.5 with Vulkan and Metal support for X-Plane: Download: https://github.com/swift-project/pilotclient/releases/tag/v0.9.5.113 A few things to note: TCAS is only available in X-Plane 11.50 Aircraft labels are only available when using Vulkan or Metal Linux users should review the list of dependencies in the installation guide The old OBJ7 ("Legacy CSL") format is not supported, as it is not Vulkan compatible. The IVAO CSL format (used by the X-CSL package) is not supported. If you want to use X-CSL you will need to process the models first using CSL2XSB to convert them to XSB CSL format (the same is needed when using xPilot). On Windows, the CSL2XSB script is included with swift to make this easier This version of swift also introduces a new log message system. You should not notice any difference, as it is all behind-the-scenes. This is the first step on the long road towards reducing complexity.
